1972 250CE European (Spain) model

ID# 11402212020679 – 050 White/Red MB tex – Handbooks.
1 of 2044 250CE models produced in 1972.
Radio delete – Power steering/Auto trans w/floorshift – Tinted glass – Factory skid plates.
Rear bumper guards only as per data card – Air Conditioning – Sold new to Malaga, Spain.
Arrived in the US in early 1976 with 10,754 KM (6,700 miles) – Never converted to US specs.
143k KM (88,900 miles) – Euro headlamps – Passenger outside mirror – Original safety kit.

The US never received the fuel injected version of the attractive 114 series 250/280 pillarless coupes.
This Spanish supplied 250CE lacks all the irritating driveability issues of the carburatored US models.
Perfect cold and hot start, no hesitation and none of the intermittent dying that plagued the US cars.
And importantly, the 250CE produced 20 HP more than the US spec 250C.

Never altered from its pure European appearance and specification.
Original flush headlamp assemblies that incorporate headlights, fog lamps and turn signals.
Rear bumper guards – No DOT mandated amber/red side marker lamps.

Repainted to a nice level many years ago. Never disassembled.
All door hinge bolts, fender bolts and deck lid bolts remain untouched.
Factory correct panel gaps and shutlines – Perfect door closure – Bumper chrome is excellent.
Excellent perimeter brightwork – Superb grille shell chrome/headlight chrome/bumper chrome.
Perfect bumper alignment – Roof rack moldings are perfect – Razor sharp side molding alignment.
Original European (non-adjustable) seat belts.

New OE stamped steel wheels – New tires and restored correct painted wheel covers.
Excellent tail light lenses – Unblemished polished door/quarter panel caps.

Completely original interior except for a replacement heel pad.
Exceptional ft/rr seat trim – Superb carpets/package panel/headliner.
We installed new driver’s seatback/cushion horsehair pads.
Crisp and clean gauge faces/switchgear lettering.
Zero center console shrinkage – Radio delete cover – Minimal pedal wear.
Original visors are unblemished – Freshly restored concours quality wood.

Excellent trunk floor with light surface oxidation. Side wells are original and solid.
Supple original (and no longer available) trunk mat.

The engine bay is tidy and clean and all correct ID stamps and plates are present.
Original hood spring rubber donuts – Excellent original firewall pad – Original radiator.
Crisp and clean undercarriage with original torque value paint swatches/Waxol coating.

Fresh brake booster/brake lines/master cylinder/pads/rotors/wheel bearings – Just serviced.
AC serviced – Driveshaft center bearing/support – Cooling service – Clock converted to Quartz movement.
New tie rods/drag link – Alignment – New blower switchover valve – New AC receiver dryer/expansion valve.
