Purchased new in Germany by Colonel Henry Oaks Jr.
1st service occurred 4-16-62 in Germany.
Colonel Oaks toured France during the summer 1962 and his ESSO French touring guide is still with the car.
Oaks returned to the US settling in St. Louis Missouri in late 1962.
He moved to Denver, Colorado in April 1963 and retained the car until selling it on January 25, 1995.
Restored by WERKS Restoration, Inc. in Denver, CO during 1995-1996 with all receipts on hand.
Over $63K in 1996 ($101k today) spent on restoration.
Restoration included full paint/coachwork restoration, 100% fresh interior – Restored soft top frame.
All exterior chrome restored – All exterior lights/lenses replaced.
Restoration still looking excellent with mild patina of age.
Full brake system overhaul and modern fuel pump install completed in June 2018.
Perfect hot and cold start – Excellent clutch/gearbox action – Behaves beautifully on the road.
