This was undoubtedly a special ordered 123 series coupe with extensive options and the 4-speed manual gearbox.
It was imported to California at great expense and effort based on the original EPA/DOT and importation documents, all of which are on hand. The car was registered/titled in CA on July 19, 1985 with 794 miles on the newly installed US speedometer. The car remained in San Luis Obispo from 1985 to February 2020 at which time I purchased the car.

It was subsequently sold to a 123 series aficionado who further improved the car to his tastes.
The total mileage is approximately 96k. Current mileage showing is just over 90K.

Massive documentation essentially from new.

The paint and coachwork remain in excellent condition. Exterior brightwork is in good street condition and the car retains its original tidy European short bumpers. Panel fit and shutlines are excellent. Headlight surrounds and tail lights are excellent. Paint depth and gloss is excellent. Excellent perimeter side moldings.

Original Euro emergency triangle mounted under the deck lid - Original unmarked spare tire - Tool roll.

Lovely original light beige leather interior. Front seats show light patina of age. Rear seats appear unblemished. Excellent package panel new speaker covers and safety kit cover. Safety Kit. Excellent headliner. Nice original carpets. Heavy sisal floor mats front and rear and full sisal trunk mat. Excellent dash pad with 3-4 minor splits. Excellent glovebox fit and operation. Nice wood. Functioning lighted visors.

Recent (within 3k miles) service includes: New factory rear muffler, new hood pad, new O2 sensor, alignment, new Michelin Defender tires, new turn signal switch, new MBZ battery, 'C' service, fuel hoses, fuel pump reseal, shift linkage bushings, driveshaft flex disc, brake fluid flush, new Bilstein shocks front/rear, new sway bar links, R134 conversion and receiver dryer.

A quick and comfortable 123 coupe with the desirable high output 110988 series 2.8 liter twin-cam six.
This engine produced over 40HP (29%) more than a US specification engine.
